Since the inception of higher learning perception came to the Institute for managers and in-service candidates from Nomber 7, 2014, the Institute has conducted numerous short courses to all relevant stake holders.
Today, there is one ongoing program offering 3 months long Re-Skilling to the in-service candidates in the 3 occupations viz; Plumbing, Carpentry and Masonry which started from February 10, 2019 ending by May 10, 2019. They are of 12 participants, 6 in Plumbing and 3 each in Carpentry and Masonry. They are the graduates of TTIs and working as senior technicians in following organisations;
1. MoH (CRRH, Gelephu, JDWNRH, Thimphu and Dzongkhag Hospital Haa).
2. MoHCA, TMD, Thimphu.
3. MoAF, NRCR & LF, Haa.
4. MoWHS, under Gelephu and Phuentsholing Thromdae and
5. MoWHS, DoR; Lobesa.
Upon successful completion of their Re-Skilling training, they will be able to carry out and provide better services by applying latest ideas using high tech machines back in their respective organisations. The similar course will continue based on the demand of the stack holders.
